On Tuesday, May 29 2018, PhilaPort and government officials formally welcomed the first of five-new super post-panamax cranes to Packer Avenue Marine Terminal. As part of the port development plan, the cranes are a huge milestone for the Port and the arrival of the next three is highly anticipated. We thank Governor Wolf and all those who have supported our port. Teamsters Local 929 members stand to benefit when the cranes become fully operational. Many of our companies rely on the ports ability to off-load cargo that is delivered to their warehouses and then to their customers.
